Majda El Muhtaj, born in Medan, March 3, 1973. He completed his Bachelor of Islamic Law (Syariah) from Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara, Medan in 1998. Master of Law from Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan in 2004. He is studying his doctoral studies at the Law Faculty Postgraduate Program, Universitas Sumatera Utara. The author is an academic and human rights activist in Indonesia. The author is the Head of the Center for Human Rights Studies, Universitas Negeri Medan (Pusham Unimed). The author is Supervisory Board Member of the Indonesian Human Rights Teaching Association (Sepaham) and Ethics Committee Member of the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI). The author is also a Human Rights Law Lecturer at the Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Medan. Email: elmuhtaj.73@gmail.com
