Jurnal HAM is a nationally accredited journal publishing manuscripts in the field of human rights. Over a decade, Jurnal HAM has been the leading scientific publication in Indonesia focusing on human rights studies. It encompasses rights-oriented analysis, law and policy debates, case studies and other empirical findings related to human rights and freedom, theoretical views of human rights, and diverse methods in human rights study. It welcomes studies from various disciplines and approaches that raise awareness toward marginalized and underrepresented minority groups in Indonesia and beyond. All editorial/review policies and processes are committed to inclusivity.

Jurnal HAM is published by Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia (Research and Development Agency), under Kementerian Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia (the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights). It scores S2 by Science and Technology Index (SINTA) - Indonesia.

Call for Paper: Volume 14 No. 1, April 2023

 

Editorial board of Jurnal HAM kindly invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit their original manuscript to Jurnal HAM. Jurnal HAM is a peer-reviewed journal published articles in the field of human rights. Jurnal HAM accepts submissions of scientific articles discussing human rights from the lens of, but not limited to, legal studies, social sciences, politics, languages, international relations to communication.

Scope:

The scope of human rights writing covers two aspects, namely Civil and Political Rights and Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, with the scope of study areas such as:

  1. Case studies on human rights issues;
  2. Regulation and protection of human rights;
  3. Economic, social and cultural rights;
  4. Civil and political rights;
  5. National and international human rights policies;
  6. Human rights in law enforcement;
  7. Business and human rights;
  8. Institutions and institutionalization of human rights.

The aforementioned study areas do not constitute an exhaustive list of studies on human rights. For this reason, Jurnal HAM remains open for manuscripts related to human rights.
